If you are considering the medical field or are curious about it, this is a great course to explore the possibilities! This course is an exciting introduction into the medical field. Geared for a middle school reading level or above, this course offers a truly unique and interesting way to earn a science credit. This is a very hands-on course -- perfect for the kinesthetic learner!

Hands-on projects give the student a genuine practical understanding of the medical field while teaching various techniques used by real doctors. Assignments allow regular review and promote mastery of the subject.  The lessons give the student the information necessary to move on with understanding.  Video is incorporated to offer a visual component.  Even if you are not a pre-med student, this is an exciting way to do science! 

Student kits come with real medical equipment that students will use for their projects/labs.  Once they get their hands in it, they will not want to stop!  Students will complete experiments and projects on a regular basis. This course focuses heavily on hands-on projects, labs, and experiments - the "things" that real doctors do. 

PLEASE NOTE:  The students get so excited about this course that they may not want to do anything but science!  You should also be willing to be a patient or participant when needed. 
The Reproductive System is covered, so maturity is expected. 

This course is worth one traditional middle or high school credit, completed at your pace.  To earn an honors credit, the course must be completed in less than 18 weeks.   

This is not a standard human body course. It is a 'one-of-a-kind' course offered only at SRVS. Get ready for learning you will never forget!
